He'll be back if Corona allows it.
And did anyone here already mention that Season 1 of Picard is basically Mass Effect 3?

And yes, Picard is, indeed, ripping off the Ass Erect trilogy just like how STD ripped off that one Tardigrade game.
It seems this is all Alex Kurtzmann is capable of.

Re: Star Dreck
I can still call it "Season 1" even if it should turn out to be the only one.
But you see, it's totally different because what's actually going on is that the Trek Reapers will fuck you up if you're too mean to robots, not if you make too advanced robots.
Dunno if this subvertion of our rip-off expectations is the dumb thing, or that a secret society of Romulan waifus spent several centuries getting depressed over an ancient mystery which everyone who didn't an hero out of depression has always misinterpreted as fuck.
I'm also a bit puzzled that this show is all about dem androids and how they're treated like shit, when the franchise never had all that many androids and the actual episodes are about poor Romulan refugees (who shouldn't actually be poor or refugees considering they've just lost a single system in their empire).
And it's easy to meme Romulans as militant Vulcans, but this show basically turned them into Vulcans, except they're assholes in a slightly different way and know wuxia shit.
I think I should stop thinking about this.

Re: Star Dreck
What have the Romulans of this show got to do with Vulcans? There's some mysticism shit, but I think that kinda goes without saying considering that even in TOS they had Roman ranks.
I don't see any Vulcan logic with anything the Romulans do in this show.

Re: Star Dreck
Arrow season 1 was just Batman Begins. I'm not faggy enough to watch shit like Pickerd.

They are the same race, for starters.
For the bolded part, I don't know what mysticism has to do with Roman ranks.
For the cursive part, there is no logic to be found in this utter shit show.

Re: Star Dreck
They just use Roman stuff to hammer in the empire theme. They probably aren't even the only Space Romans in science fiction. Even BattleTech has those.
The only biological difference between a Romulans and Vulcans are the head ridges of the former, which is some kind of (genetic) mutation or something they might've gotten during their exodus from Vulcan.
The mysticism is weird because that's like the Vulcans, employed by them to abandon the bloodthirsty ways of their ancestors. Romulans on the other hand just mellowed out by whorshipping Tzeentch instead of Khorne.

Re: Star Dreck
Didn't Spock say they were distant biological cousins?
Well, it implies an old-fashioned honor-based society(and the Mark Lenard Romulan was very obsessed with honor), which often goes hand in hand with mysticism.
