Re: Star Dreck
Picard was worth it purely to see Patrick Stewart ham it up as an evil smuggler with an OTT French accent
Re: Star Dreck
Picard wouldn't be worth watching if it was good. Put that old man back in bed.
Re: Star Dreck
An unfunny one, too, like the one where Stewart ran an "erotic bakery" and all the cakes had pictures of women going to the bathroom, and then multiple people came into the store and pointed out this fact for ten minutes.
Anyway, apparently that one borg kid from Voyager was tortured to death in the latest episode of Picard, but played by a different actor. And the original actor is a Kevin Spacey apologist.

On a more positive note, I've been checking out some clips from the old animated series, mainly 'cause my childhood memories consists of vague memories of one episode.
Part of me thought the show might try to be a bit hipper and dumbed-down for the kids, but it's pretty much TOS in animu form. It's like they had an entire stash of leftover scripts and went "Fuck this, lets animate this - with three-armed dudes and furries!"

Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Re: Star Dreck
the one where they end up in the negative universe is pretty stupid, but the rest are good iirc

Re: Star Dreck
Them emulating the somewhat relaxed pace of TOS certainly helps a lot with the limited animation budget.
