Licence to Kill was a better revenge movie and the most Flemingesque in the entire series

Despite having seen both Skyfall and Spectre I really can't recall a fucking thing about either of them. I can give a fairly good summary of both Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, even though it's been longer since I've watched either of those.

Because they're entertaining. What's so good about Quantum that it's above stuff like Diamonds, Live And Let Die, fucking World Is Not Enough even?Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 9:14 pmMost Bond movies are ass but we love them anyway.
Quantum has desert... some water thief villain... a Bond girl that Bond doesn't bonk... desert... really godawful editing... desert... and oh yeah, Craig.
Give me Roger Moore in a clown outfit any day over any Craig movie.
Re: Movie Thread
I want to love it but that fucking toothpaste '80s ninja scene just ruins it. Love the opening gunbarrel, though, and the action, but QOS is better made and slicker.Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 9:19 pmLicence to Kill was a better revenge movie and the most Flemingesque in the entire seriesTried before that. Re: Movie Thread
Robert Davi was brilliant in that movie. He alone elevates it over Quantum, let alone all the other good stuff, like Dalton, two better Bond girls, the plot, Desmond Llewelyn's inclusion into the story et ceteraKeith Chegwin wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 9:19 pmLicence to Kill was a better revenge movie and the most Flemingesque in the entire series
Re: Movie Thread
Did you just invoke goddamn TWINE as a superior movie? What does that have, Sophie Marceau and a decent opening tune? It was even more boring than SPECTRE with the goofy snowmobile chase, the goofy saw fight, and the boring sub chase. It was better than the remake, yes, but that's not saying much. Bullshit, you're letting your memories get the better of you. Davi was the same generic character he plays in every movie, with his giant acne scars, the Bond girls were boring and cut like bull dykes (and Bond didn't bang them), and it looked like a cheesy 1980s Cannon movie. The action was great, especially the truck scene, but it was way too cheesy to take seriously and coasts along on a reputation of being a harder, edgier, Fleming Bond. If Chuck Norris starred in it Lupa would have made a review of it by now.Rushy wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 9:28 pmRobert Davi was brilliant in that movie. The Living Daylights is a better Dalton movie, with a sweet opening tune and a better looking babe.

What movie did you watch?Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 9:33 pmthe Bond girls were boring and cut like bull dykes (and Bond didn't bang them)
Bond not having sex with a girl wasn't a thing until Daniel Craig
Debatable. I personally can't decide which I prefer. The Living Daylights has a John Barry score but I prefer Licence to Kill for its plot and Carey LowellGuest wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 9:33 pmThe Living Daylights is a better Dalton movie, with a sweet opening tune and a better looking babe.

I don't mind Living Daylights, but I always remember it as such a drab-looking movie, even by 80s Bond standards. Probably all that time he spends in Ukraine or whereever the pianist was from.

They barely spend any time where the cellist is from (Bratislava, I believe)
