It's not exactly confirmed, but I'm about 99.5% sure it will be. That's the hip thing to do for dying franchises these days.

I mean, the first one had a "diverse cast" too. It just didn't lecture the audience about it.

They wanna see Arnie running through a jungle.
I don't think that's been true since about 1996.

Diverse back then meant something different. For one thing, you sure as shit ain't getting a Native American. The lead will be a black guy, there will be a Muslim in there somewhere, maybe a Latino (if they haven't been totally cancelled by the left), a strong brown woman who don't need no man, and a token white guy possibly played by Chris Pratt.

The plot will involve corona virus, there will be jabs at those bigots who wouldn't wear the mask, there might be some Drumph stuff just because they can't make fun of a Dem prez. Global warming will be repeatedly mentioned, like a boogie man always lurking in the shadows.

Also the Muslim one will have a flashback about how 9/11 ruined his childhood.

"Is that any way to treat your mother?"

"My mother's dead."

"And soon you'll be her daughter."

Why the fuck does Motaro have an upper body that's just a normal dude with horns? I feel like this isn't brought up enough - especially with regards to the stellar work on Goro in the previous movie.

Tremors 2 is pure kino.
I'd call it an Alien/Aliens kind of improvement, but that'd be an insult to how much the quality leaped up. Fucking adored this movie. Slice of life film with monsters, and Michael Gross is an unrepentant scene stealer. Highly recommend.
