Matrix 4 didn’t really follow the plot of the 1st movie. The first 45 mins are like a movie within a movie about WB trying to crank out a 4th movie and then the only thing I remember about the 2nd half is Neil Patrick Harris talking about how people only want to watch slop.

It was messy - but not without its big swings. Nowhere near as cynically streamlined as a JW, TFA, Ghostbusters Afterlife.

I wanted Ghostbusters Afterlife to flop - ultimately - not to praise Ressurections too much, but Wachowski tranny and Neil Patrick Harris had a point - people are easily manipulated and like their slop if the fanservice is plenty.
