Re: Movie Thread
I don't want "upgraded" tits, I want tits that were good in the first place.

Well, yes, but I'll argue that Left was able to use social media to successfully propagandize and radicalize people. For Christ's sake, 21st century "journalists" are using Twitter for their sources in their articles. Social media greatly accelerated what would have taken the shitlibs decades to accomplish. In less than 8 years Barrack Hussein went from saying "marriage is between a man and a woman" to thunderous applause, to lighting the White House in the rainbow flag, again to the thunderous applause of NPC normies.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 12:03 amVery short-sighted. It's got nothing to do with that. Politics have just gone too far left in the west.

Nah, not really. Take a gander at that there Soygon. People like him are at fault. Always a liberal! None of your standpoints are in line with liberals anymore? Still a liberal! Everything you hated about the conservatives now applies to liberals? Still a liberal! Conservatives fight for all your interests and liberals regard you a Nazi now? Still a liberal!Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 1:05 amWell, yes, but I'll argue that Left was able to use social media to successfully propagandize and radicalize people.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 12:03 amVery short-sighted. It was a natural movement. Conservatives were the fuckers that told you who to fuck and what to say. They were the force of censorship and fake outrage. But that all now applies to the libshits. But too many people won't ever start voting any different than their father did or they in their youth did.

Soygon's actually a very bad example because he ran his horrendous political campaign for the ebil nazi right-wing UKIP rather than Labour or Lib Dem. His problem is that he's helped to stigmatise the term 'right-wing' by both claiming to be a liberal and claiming that UKIP is not right-wing.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 1:52 amNah, not really. I must agree with Liar and Cuckara that social media's a big problem. Three reasons, firstly before social media lunatic fringe remained lunatic fringe whereas the power of the internet and social media has made all these lunatics seem like some kind of majority.
Secondly, in the days of traditional media, political arguments (arguments of any kind really) were somewhat moderated. If you wrote a letter to the editor, the editor would actually read the letter, decide if it was fit for publication, publish it, you'd wait however long it took the publication in question to come out, read the editor's response, write your own response and then repeat previous steps. Now you are your own publisher, response is instantaneous, there is no filter or moderation and, as we've seen, arguments (particularly political ones) can go from zero to nuclear very quickly.
Thirdly, and finally, you didn't really have virtue signalling before social media. I mean, you did in the sense that it's always been there, but generally if you wanted to show the general populace that you actually care about an issue then you had to actually go out and volunteer or protest or whatever, which deters most people. Now all you have to do to signal to others that you are a good person is to hit the like button or the retweet button or some other shit that's helped to drag the level of political discourse down deeper into the sewer

Social media has only made something that has been around for quite a while more visible. Academia has been filled with far left commie shits and pseudoscience bullcrap like social sciences for a very long time now. There have been so called equality inspectors for decades in the form of HR departments. Shit's been in the background of the system for so long that it was only a matter of time for it to become outspoken.
