Isn't this literally how these people think being trans works? Minus the virtual reality, of course.
Yes.
The character wasn't deleted by the way. Switch, the obligatory dyke, was supposed to have been a man in the Matrix and a woman unplugged. That point was cut, likely because it was deemed offensive towards lesbians.

Andy Serkis is apparently adapting that Hunt for Gollum fan film into a full-blown motion picture, with Peter Jackson as producer.

I'll believe it when they announce it as a trilogy.

Give it time!

That's another one where they announce extra shit and then I just don't watch it.

The OT LotR Trilogy is fantastic. Hobbit 1 is like 70% Tolkien - so I think its *ok* - Hobbit 2 has its moments, but shit is starting to get bad by this point. 3 is up there with Rise of Skywalker as one of the worst blockbusters of the past 20 years.

Are there some?

You get like 2 hours of movie one - 45 minutes of movie two - and like 20 minutes of movie three (which, as it stands - is over three hours) - I could see something salvageable being pulled together.

I don't know how you edit the stupid love interest character out tho.

No.

I have a very sweet memory of being given a copy of The Hobbit by my father when I was a little kid. He had a great big library full of paperbacks and he selected that one for me to read. I loved that story and read it many times. For a kid, it was a perfect mix of children's story and mild fantasy elements.

I'm not normally a >muh nostalgia fag, but I saw the trailers for BIGGER AND BETTER, MAXIMUM ACTION HOBBIT TRILOGY and noped the fuck out. I'm not going to taint my good memories of a quaint children's novel with a lot of tryhard, overlong LotR-fanfic spergery.

The Hobbit was supposed to be a simple kid's story about a little hero (small, like a child) who saves the day, and some greedy jews dwarves with good hearts who eventually learn to share. Basic childhood fantasy stuff mixed with some moral lessons about behaving well.

I still don't understand how any new product is supposed to affect the previous one. It's not like they rewrote the book to match the films. The book's just there. It's great. That cannot be changed.

Same with bad sequels. Yeah, it's sad what Disney did to Luke Skywalker, but it's not like the original character has somehow ceased to exist and can't be revisited and enjoyed in isolation. You don't have to think "and then he went on to be a hermit and died alone". I certainly don't when I watch Return of the Jedi. Hell, I don't even think Leia and Luke are siblings when I watch A New Hope.

The first movie's honestly not bad, Nigtac - just pretend the saga ends afterwards and skip the other two.
