Feeling retroactive shame from such a joke is silly. Stuff like 9/11 doesn't cause time-space distortions to ripple back into the past, so how should they know?

I think the feeling of regret after doing a joke is human.

If you called your best friend a fucking retard and wanted him to die, and he gets injured the day later and becoming a retard before eventually dying will make you feel a bit sorry. For a while.
