This actually looks really fucking good, like one of the best cartoon reboots in years.

As afraid as I am of current year Animaniacs this trailer got me.

Although that is true, this brings that statement into question.




A friend described it as: "wacky 2020 millenial twitter humor" tho so be warned"

And he couldn't have been farther from the truth.

So a couple of things:
1) the show will not last, especially on a channel like SciFi. Yeah they showed anime but that was two decades ago. Might fit better on AS or Netflix.

2) it relies TOO FUCKING MUCH on pop-culture humor. We all like that every once in awhile but it's just unbearable.

3) the animation isn't the worst? But even Rick and Morty in its first season looked better than this. It looks like some PBS kids flash show from like, 2012 or something.

4) Dated references include: Dabbing, Pokemon Go, Cardi B, etc.

5) The comment section sums it up quite nicely.

But if it continues this brand of humor, it will crash and burn.

That might just be the plan, actually. If it fails, they can justify all sorts of changes when they "reimagine it for a modern audience".

They keep going Orange Man bad while being unfunny. I remember when they had that gay ass musical with the 3 bitches going after Trump and even the Left groaning at how unfunny it was.

Oh god, that was the worst piece of shit that could've ever come up with and it unintentionally sums up how shitty the Simpsons has become.

Everything seems tiresome/soulless. The animation was almost nu-Family Guy tier, especially near the end, the sound mixing is really fucking terrible, the music is forgettable, liberal bias and worst of all, it was unfunny.
