Not anymore, no. Netflix also doesn't have Columbo anymore. It's like they all hate having an actually great show.

They don't have original law and order.
They don't have columbo.
They don't have matlock.
They don't have perry mason.
These online streaming services are afraid of quality.

I wonder if any of them have Homicide: Life on the Street.
Only Hulu has The Shield, but the quality is pretty ass-tastic. I think the original masters must have been kind of fucked because I've yet to see a version of the shield that didn't dip into 240p-360p territory.

Well, Netflix doesn't have that either.
Funnily enough, when I watched The Shield it was in 720p on some yo ho ho and a bottle of rum matey site.

Re: "Cartoons"
You've named at least three shows beloved primarily by old people. You know, the same people who wouldn't know how to operate a Netflix if they even had one.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 11:18 pmThey don't have original law and order.

No, for several reasonsrabidtictac wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 11:28 pmI wonder if any of them have Homicide: Life on the Street.
1) Nobody watched it
2) The quality's ass. If you look at the DVDs clearly they did little if any remastering work on it
3) At least three episodes are Law & Order crossovers and they don't have Law & Order either
I don't think any high definition masters currently exist. Basically, the creator said something about how it wouldn't look good on Blu-ray, then reversed himself and said it's coming to Blu-ray.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 11:28 pmOnly Hulu has The Shield, but the quality is pretty ass-tastic. Is that pay TV? In Germany it's only on pay TV right now, as far as I'm aware. Then again, I haven't watched any TV in the last five or so years so I'm not the best informed guy when it comes to that.

Re: "Cartoons"
I think most TV here is pay TV. I don't pay for TV because I'm not 100 years old. Shit costs like $40 and only 3-5 channels out of 300 will ever have anything interesting on. Plus you have to do weird shit IIRC if you want to watch at your own leisure rather than when the programs come on.
You could buy two seasons of a tv show you like every month and still pay less than basic cable + you keep those shows forever and can sell them later if you want.
