The Blade franchise has always been a bit ahead of its time. The first Marvel box office hit, and with a black lead at that. And nobody remembers or acknowledges it for some reason.

Does it have anything to do with Wesley Snipes being le tax dodger man?

Nah no one ever really gave a shit about that. Blade 3 was prwtry bad though, with Ryan Reynolds playing the only character he knows how to play.

Apparently the reason Blade 3 was shit is that Wesley Snipes hated the fuck out of David Goyer and refused to co-operate with him. So most of the film he just sat in his trailer getting high and watching TV

I've never actually seen that one. All the bad reviews made me stay far away. Same with the TV show.

It's just barely not a "so bad it's good" movie. Kinda like many of the Resident Evil movies.
