I just love how quick to the point Christie is. Doyle spends ages on meaningless trivia, and also assumes you know England and London in particular like the back of your hand.

Well Christie wrote her stuff for normal people. Doyle on the other hand was inspired by Poe's C. Auguste Dupin stories, which though being varying shades of entertaining are incredibly verbose with observational autism, investigative sperging and weird-ass tangents.

It's still nowhere near as dry in prose as Frank Herbert. Aside from the original Dune, I've genuinely struggled to understand a word he's saying in any of his books

Doyle was just pretty fucking full of himself, being your typical aristocratic britbong.

I knew Green Ronin publishes the capeshit RPG Mutants & Masterminds.
I didn't know they also published capeshit books. And used their tabletop storefront for it.

Sacred Band
But the disappearance of Kosma is one small move in a staggering global plot against queer youth. In the modern world, a team of supers may seem old-fashioned, but the battle against the sinister forces targeting the LGBTQ+ world may require some incredible reinforcements.
You know, this isn't the only troon capeshit book I am aware of*, but this has got to be the only one so blatant about being solely about queershit.
This book has got to have one of the lamest villains ever. Who gives a fuck about the tiniest minority on Earth if you can turn people into dinosaurs?! Or take over the world. Whatever floats your boat.

*) It's called Dreadnought, stars what is basically Troon PUR with anger issues, and rest assured that any TERF he comes across will turn out to be a traitor and/or villain sooner rather than later.

A good take on why Gurm will NEVER finish his books:

TL;DW: Gurm set himself to write a post-modernist magnum opus to deconstruct the classic fantasy values grounded on mythology - honor, wisdom, duty, etc. - and ended up setting himself to endlessly write thousands of pages about utter misery, trreachery, evil and ugliness, which now he probably can't even stomach anymore. So now he wants do to anything but write ASOIF, escaping from the awful world he himself created by any excuse he can latch on.
