Or Gabrielle Carteris, who played a teenager when she was in her 30s on 90210, then later tried to change laws so that IMDB couldn't display her birth year / age.Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 4:26 pmI'm going to speak seriously for a bit.
I think it takes courage for an actress to age naturally and keep working in age appropriate roles.
So many Hollywood actresses can't handle this. The Meg Ryans, the Julia Robertses, etc. They mutilate and stretch their faces trying to regain their youth. They still insist on playing the same America's sweetheart kind of roles they did in their 20s. They refuse to play moms and grandmas. So they just kind of disappear because they refused to adapt to aging.
Re: Dead Celebrities aren't much fun
I prefer the Sean Connery approach. When he saw that he was only getting offered old man/grandad roles he said 'fuck this' and retired and stayed retired

He probably thought he was going to die soon and wanted to enjoy whatever it is rich old out-of-touch Scotsmen enjoy. I saw a recent pic of him out with his caretaker and he still looks about the same, maybe just a little thinner.

I doubt that. He's said repeatedly that he retired because the people in Hollywood are morons. He said he's worked with the best, he worked with Hitchcock, Huston and (((Spielberg))) and what's left is just a bunch of kids trying to figure out what's next. So he retired to play golf and spend time with his grandchildren.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 5:52 amHe probably thought he was going to die soon and wanted to enjoy whatever it is rich old out-of-touch Scotsmen enjoy.

But advances in CGI will make it possible for him to take on younger roles again :3
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Was there any truth to the rumor that he was the original choice for Gandalf?
Is Spoony dead yet?

An underrated classic. If they ever release the director's cut I'll squee like a soy.Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 2:25 pmYes, and that Avengers remake where he had to dress as a teddy bear.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 6:13 amBasically, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen broke him.
