Re: Dead Celebrities aren't much fun
I think you're both right. Star Wars has been shit for so long that even the cringiest fans just consume the new shit and move in back to the Millenium Falcon, Chewbacca, and all the classic stuff that was half-decent. They pay it lip service but then immediately delete it from memory.
They knew that when they designed Rise if the Resistance. You literally wouldn't know a fucking difference if they returned it to the classic OT. All you need to do is swap out Kylo with a Vader animatronic and some of the CGI/voices.
Some stuff is classic enough that it weathers the test of time no matter how many garbage sequels, reboots, and reimaginings are done.
Of course, that doesn't mean you can't make most people hate the mere mention of it if you work at ruining it hard enough.

...and still: Spoony did nothing.

Except for Ultima, ask the angry Spoonchilde.Le Redditeur wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 9:48 pmOne, or two, or twelve shitty adaptations do not ruin the originals, and that's true for every piece of art and entertainment.

Please resurrect Mr. Peanus like Christ.
If anybody cared the Sonic-tier autism of the turn of the century mascot fandom would be astronomical.
