So the new Witch Vomit album just released a few days ago, as I'm sure you're all aware of.
I'm not quite sure yet what to make of it. It's not bad but they certainly changed their sound. I'm leaning towards it being good but the production could use more filth perhaps? Its a different energy for sure. Compare it:



Nice, atmospheric intro. Good sound for sure. Leads into a high speed first song.

However, their last album had barely any intro, goes directly into high speed and with what I feel just way more aggression.



I dunno, man. Reactions are good but Funeral Sanctum just hasn't clicked with me like that yet.

Sounds like pretty standard Black Metal to me. The singing is just very weird.
