I think the problem is everyone who makes these movies are ass-old and grew up in the 50s to 70s when comics were gay as hell so they all use shit-ass villains like Vulture and Doctor Octopus. 20 years from now, if the West hasn't fallen, we might start seeing Carnage and other super-awesome characters like Scarlet Spider and Azrael.

I caught a snippet of The Flash TV show recently. They might've kept Barry Allen Flash white but they made his girlfriend black, his nephew Wally West (who was the Flash on the Justice League cartoon) black and his future children half-black

Though unless I have missed something important, DC tends to be a lot smarter when it comes to legacy characters and isn't quite as keen on replacing an established character with a diversity hire for the sake of replacing an established character with a diversity hire.

(Not that they're perfect or anything. I think Nu52 Batman once got replaced by Gordon in an Iron Bat Man suit. He also got rid of the glasses and his mustache, which made him completely unrecognizable.)

Shocker would have been much funnier in Spidahman if only for the name itself. Also why no Mysterio? He's the one villain that's true kino.

Mysterio was probably my favorite villain from that Spidey 2 game on the PS2. We need more special effects nerds going full ham.

Meanwhile Marvel has made Black Panther sister into the new Black Panther and Mar-Vell has been completely and utterly retconned from Captain Marvel back story to make closer to her MCU version, she's now half-human half-kree who needs no man to get her powers

Brilliant move. First make your obscure character into one of the most important mainstream capeshitters who ever shat his cape, and then make sure that any normalfag stupid enough to try out your comics will be confused as fuck.

You'd think that with all the progressive pandering that's going on, Marvel would publish a Blade ongoing. But nope. The closest we got was a proposed book which saw Blade having a previously unknown teenage daughter who would fight vampires at her high school like some black Buffy the Vampire Slayer (even Blade, a black male, isn't immune to being upstaged in his own fucking book by wahmen apparently). Thankfully we were spared from that when the white man writer decided he was too white and privileged to write a black man character. All of this is of course ignoring the fact that Blade was created by a couple of Jews and the Blade movies (the only reason anyone actually cares about Blade) was written by yet another Jew.

Tomb of Dracula, yeah. In general I find horror comics more tolerable than capeshit, even though not one horror comic I have ever read succeded un being scary. Mostly it's just gore porn and cool monsters.

You guys are overlooking something important: Spawn and Blade both exude raw (toxic) masculinity. The black men in comics these days aren't any more exempt from complete emasculation than white men. If they are picked up again they'll both become frappuccino sipping, Joss Whedon sounding wimps, borderline groveling before every female character they share a panel with.
