They should by all rights let Bulma rest in peace but of course they won't. She's not even in the ground and they're already talking about replacements.
Well, that's showbiz for you.
The Simpsons is the only cartoon I know of where they actually retire characters when their actors die. But that's the exception and not the rule.

Pfft. They found a replacement for Lunchlady Doris. It's lucky that Phil Hartman died when he did, because if he'd died more recently they'd be replacing him (probably with Billy West).

Imagine spending a billion US dollars to be a loser. Could've watched animu and be one for free.

When one of the main six VA's die they'll just replace them. The Simdums is gonna continue on for eternity long after everyone involved in it's creation is dead just like Looney Tunes or Disney characters.

That's true. And they changed her name to Lunchlady Dora for some reason.

The German voice actress for Marge was replaced when she died. Her voice was just as characteristic and yet they found replacement. They will do the same for the original VOs.

I have such a lack of connection to Bulma as a character that the only thing I can think of, when I see that, is, "oh god I hope they don't delay the series trying to find a new VA."

I'm going to blame it on my meds coupled with being tired from work. I'm not usually this callous.
The character of Bulma peaked when she dressed up as a Playboy Bunny.

The Simpsons is a whole different case. You think the Japanese writers would retire a character because of some gajin VA biting the dust?

I wouldn't post if a dub actor died. They are literally nobodies to me, unless they happen to have a successful voice acting career outside of dubs.
