2nd season of IBO was a mess. At least the 1st one had a long-term goal, but this one just had them react to random crap happening.

SEED will always confuse me because of their version of the Funnel system. I mean, if you develop a drone weapon system that is so picky with its pilot that you need to make shitty clones that die before their balls even have time to drop, I think it's time to abandon the whole thing.
Also the Astray manga is way more interesting, which zany shit like a true(?) AI mascot in a briefcase or a hologram captain controlled by the brain of a bloke who should've died a long time ago.
Though don't get me started on X Astray where someone manages to build a Gundam with an impenetrable force field, only for the project to get abandoned by the higher ups because of muh polidicks or something.

SEED Astray is the best kind of fucking retarded, being Gundam Gurren Laggan before GL was a thing, in the best possible way. You have a MC that is basically Vash the Stampede with swords and they even pulled strings to get Vash's VA to voice him, he has an AI to make his Gendum do all the weeby autism he wants, he has fucking mecha katanas and even has upgrades that allow him to Hyakuretsuken other mechs or even some really retarded shit like a 350meter Space Katana capable of birfucating battleships in one swing, made out of solid space Nippon steel along with a backpack that gives him flight while the wings are Gunswords capable of forming a single sniper riffle or a giant broadsword and he dual wields them along with having two spares as wings.

Also, his and Gai's theme songs are fucking banging



And of course, they also got the best T.M. Revolution song while the rest of SEED and SEED Destiny got his worst ones :

I think the "Powered Red" - aka Red Frame Daizengar Edition - is scaled in such a way that its Gunpla would be holding a life-sized katana if they actually bothered to include the full sword with it.

The Gold Frame might just be my favorite villain MS from SEED. You have like this batshit insane bishie kitbashing the fuck out of his rig like in one of those Gunpla battle spinoff shows.

Actually, Rebuild of Evangelion shows that LCL prevents your body from aging. Starting with episode 3 they're like all 23-year-olds who just happen to look like 13-year-olds.

Has anyone read the ANIMA manga for Evangelion? It was an alternate sequel where Shinji didn’t suck and stopped the HIP. In the future he’s the commander of a team tasked to deal with other possible angel threats and whatnot. Apparently Rebuild has adapted some ideas from it.
