They are very much doing the opposite. They show Hollywood a whole new level of pumping out agenda-driven garbage. Like a city that had a petty crime problem getting flooded by the cartel. They don't take crime down with them, they raise it to a whole new quality that the other gangs will try to measure up to to compete.

If Disney Yoda likes burning books so much, we might as well show that we took that crucial life lesson seriously. But nobody reads books anymore (that goes UUUU Chuck), so we burn Disney Blu-rays and DVDs like a fucking otaku. And you can't really destroy anything like that these days, because torrents exist (there are bootleg 35mm Blu-rays of Song of the South how the fuck did that happen), but hard drives die soon enough.

Book burning is the immediate, instinctual response of anyone who reads Chuck Wendig's horrible fecal leakage. Apparently the mice in suits are not immune. Some people on foxdickfarms are suggesting that the real reason they wanted to get rid of him was because his books were so shit and sold terribly, and his twitter behavior was just a convenient excuse. I think they might be onto something for once. If not, they've got a whole lot more cleaning house to do.
