I mean, I totally get not giving a shit and I respect that, but I rarely understand these dramatic declarations. I usually reserve mine exclusively for remakes.

How's that dramatic? I wasn't a fan of SW at any point anyway. There seems to be this unwritten rule that everyone has to really like it, or at least the original trilogy. I thought they were alright and everything after those was bad.

Nah, I was not saying you have to give everything a chance or that there's any need to go see it. It's the same with me and Marvel. I'll most likely never see one, because I have no interest. People claim that The Mandalorian isn't shit but whenever I see clips of it posted it looks like the same gayness as all other SW stuff made after 1980.
Like Kugel I'm not an SW fan or anything so it isn't like I'm making a principled stand here, it just doesn't interest me. I saw the original trilogy and they were good movies, but nothing that changed my life. I've seen the prequels and think they are an overflowing garbage dumpster. Then I've seen The Force Awakens and Solo. I hardly remember anything about TFA other than Harrison Ford half-assing it and I guess Solo was okay but nothing that makes me yearn for more.
