That sucks. It'd be nice to see a movie with actual joojitsu in it .(And not that gay BJJ. If I want to see that I can just fire up Pornhub Gay.)

I think kung fu movies died a kind of death similar to westerns in the USA. Interest waned over time and period martial arts films came to be seen as passe in their own countries.
CGI wrecked martial arts movies for me.
