The Mouse expanded too greedily and too fast. Virtue-signaling vanity projects and doubling down might get a bit harder in the future, once their resources are limitless no more.

Business-wise it was a good decision. They were printing so much money they could afford to appease the loonies and degenerates, because they knew their traditional market was still paying up.

I'm not sure if their focus on IPs was a good or bad thing for their future earnings.
But they cant afford to coast on mediocre product offerings, that's for sure.

They are all getting fired now. They have to cut the bloat and since these cunts were losing them money anyway and they are sperging out. Like I said, they knew this was happening since the meeting notes were likely leaked to them and Comicsgate told them to fuck off with their truce.

Coronachan has done some good. She redpilled more people about how shit the CCP is, she is killing Gamestop and the traditional comics industry and she is making people question excessive globalism.

She recently had her "how do you do, fellow Youtubers" moment. It's almost over for her.

Even when she cluelessly laughs at her peers when they lose their jobs.
When she finally hits the chopping block, I'll bet she blames incels taking over a dying industry from the inside.

Fuck no, they were already dying. Not as bad as comic shops but even the people who run the company know their days are numbered. EB Games over here (which is just Gamestop, they didn't change the name when they bought EB Games since they were established here) has less and less games in it lately and has more merch shit and funko pops. Attach rates for consoles are way down compared to last gen as more people move to PC and/or buy digital games. Even AAA publishers are focusing on making less games but adding microtransactions to the existing ones they make in order to make more money per game.

That all leads to less money for Gamestop. Adding extra shit in your stores and less of the core product you sell is a sign of a dying store. EB Games over in Australia shut down a handful of stores in January before all this shit went down and more were coming later in the year. This will only accelerate their decline, more people will just buy digital for a little while to get their gaming fix with a lot of them being shut. It went from a slow gradual death to sudden chaos.

Yeah Gamestops here are just junk stores filled with Funko Pops and other crap. It's like walking into ERod's bedroom.

The Gamestops near me have gachapon machines now.

Blockbuster had over 9000. Where are they now? When big chains like that fail they fail hard because by then years of bad business catches up to them. Bloated numbers held up only with day to day money and bleeding out investors. Eventually shit just implodes, somebody buys the remains, closes most of the places and sees if that works out for a year or two and then just liquidates the rest.

They aren't one mismanaged company in a healthy business, they are a water-headed giant in a dying one.
