I don't think it's impossible to revitalize "Star Wars" (make the "Top Gun: Maverick" of "Star Wars"), but something that I think about sometimes is that if you're a great artist with a big vision why would you want to lend your talents to "Star Wars"? Wouldn't you be far more attracted to making your own thing? And if you do decide to get in bed with Lucasfilm anyway, the past has shown that the movie might get taken away from you.
