Just saw Wonder Woman and I noticed something.

An island of nothing but women and no technological advancement in thousands of years.

Accurate.

To be fair in the movie they seem to have an infinite life span and infinite youth, which probably means they don't need/don't have medicine as we know it which significantly would decrease a need for scientific progress. Having enough brute strength that you can win with a opponent with a more complex and modern weapon could lead to this as well; If you can win with what you currently have, things your opponent has are probably worse, aren't worthy of the effort. Finally not having any enemies or other cultures to steal borrow ideas from, being secluded for so long made them ignorant to a need of progress whatsoever. The question remains is it a case of extreme isolationism or is it in fact because they are women?

But yeah, in all that time such super-smart-don't-need-no-man women with infinite lifespans would have at least accidentally advanced their technology at least a little bit. Their island should at least be fancy like Thor's planet.

Well i wish i could tell you that wasn't possible but they ARE putting for at least one episode in the Ducktales (YUCK!) and if that show does good enough they'll probably be maki a Darkwing Duck spinoff, i can already see them making Darkwing into a complete useless buffoon and making Gosselyn into a mary that need no male to protect her.
