Other than the song and Jane Seymour that movie was gay as hell. Dammit Rushy, I keep believing your taste is improving but you never fail to disappoint me. What's next, Die Another Day wasn't THAT bad?

It was tacky, but watchable. Brosnan > Craig any day, any movie.

Depends on the movie for me. Craig was good in Casino Royale and Skyfall. I dunno how anyone who's not trolling can think Quantum and Spectre were anything but hot steaming shit. Brosnan was good in Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies. He was okay in Die Another Day and The World is Not Enough, but in DAD everything else was shit, like Diamonds are Forever without the charm, while TWINE is actually breddy good.

Dalton > Brosnan or Craig though. It's a shame he didn't get more movies and a chance to really shine.

I agree that Dalton is the superior Bond. I feel like he'd have a much stronger following if they let Moore go after Octopussy and let Dalton wrestle Christopher Walken on the Golden Gate bridge.
As for Craig, him and his movies just really aren't my thing. They're not terribly made, but they just don't feel like Bond to me. There's a certain classiness that comes with the character that Craig and the writing in his era completely lack. Dalton was tough as nails, but he could also be smooth in his own way, and his vulnerability was much more natural and subtle(most likely because Dalton himself brought it to the part, and it wasn't written in like Craig's melodrama with Vesper)

Speaking of which, I'm genuinely worried for the next actor in the series, because I have no idea if Eon Productions even remembers how to make standalone Bond films that don't try to Oscarbait with glooming shots of London and drama about the MI6 regulars' pasts.

I'm all for Dan Stevens getting the job. He's not Idris Elba, and more importantly he's not Idris Elba.

He looks decent. I'm open for Cavill though, I want a proper black-haired, Bond-looking Bond. Not to mention giving the actor a franchise that actually uses him(*cough* DCEU)

He'd be okay. He's certainly more suave than Craig. The biggest problem with the franchise is the woke woman producer who owns the rights. She's the reason we get shit like Spectre, so as long as she's around expect more 3-hour slogs filled with gray London skylines and Bond looking out into the distance while every villain has a personal relationship to him. Also he's bisexual.
