They are building up Jax to be the villain of this season, I predict. I can't remember if it was a Tweet but someone on the team mentioned he wasn't a good guy.

He's certainly a lot meaner than in the first episode.

Well he was always been the asshole of the group. He was just able to indulge in it more because he doesn't give a fuck about innocent NPCs that aren't even real. Isn't too different from a good chunk of gaymurs fucking around in a sandbox game.

I loved the running gag with the collision detection going apeshit. All the benefits of being stuck in a video game without having to suffer through actual gameplay mechanics.

So what’s the story with this show? DHI sold me on Smiling Friends so I’m intrigued.

It's the only good isekai in over 20 years, and the only good virtual reality isekai period. Also has a bit of Meguca in it, but without anything that makes Meguca retarded (aka most of it).

If there's one downside for me it'd be the German dub:


BurgerPomny: "What am I seeing?!"
KrautPomny: "Was bin ich sehend?!"

Quite literally a word-for-word translation. That's not really how you'd say this in German - unless the script was written by Johann Wolfgang von Fucking Goethe, or you're translating a play by Shakespeare.
A less theatrical translation would be "Was ist das?!" (aka "What is this?!")

He's easily the most black-coded character of the entire cast, so yeah.

It’s good, I’ve enjoyed the two episodes they put out thus far, wanna see where it goes.

Hopefully they release faster than 6 months between episodes going forward
