I first saw the Scrappy hatred on the old Jump the Shark website. I think it's only boomers and early Gen X that feel this way about him. The rest of us that grew up with Scrappy always being there don't have this same childish obsession.

I never had an issue with Scrappy as a kid. I’ve seen way worse.

Could be. First time I remember seeing the hatred was from James Gunn in the live action movies and multiple other shows taking shots against him.

The only thing I keep coming back to is that it originally worked and people got pissed at them removing most of the original cast later to focus on him. But I don't recall anyone saying that. Just that they hate him.
