So much for the Return Of The Jedi... literally two movies later and it's The Last Jedi. That's not gonna look silly at all.

As for the trailer, it looked fine. I do like that they're abandoning the Jedi and Sith. Apart from the training(which would've happened anyway), it didn't remind me of Empire at all.

You sure he rewrote the canon? George Lucas himself had no problem having everyone go from "Oh yeah, our generals from the Clone Wars who probably tried to murder our chancellor or something" to "What kind of fairy tales are you talking about?!" in like 20 years or so.

I can only assume the EU explained this with some kind of Sith mind curse that causes everyone to forget Jedi are real if they spend too much time not being near to a Jedi.

I like how the trailer essentially gave us nothing new. This might turn out to be actually better than The Farce Awakens, but it'll still be playing it safe yet again.

I have no hope in Episode IX with that hack Colin Trevorrow helming it. That pretty much guarantees it'll be the weakest in the Sequel Trilogy regardless of Rian Johnson's involvement of "story treatment" which means jack shit.
