Re: Movie Thread
Casino Royale's kino! I can imagine I go back to it and still really enjoy myself.
Skyfall's main failing is the lack of a solid Bond girl throughout. The action and villain in that one are enjoyable.
I could see No Time to Die's big swings not playing on a rewatch. The first time was a solid experience, but who knows about repeats.

Modern Bond wished it had a villain as good and memorable as Hank Scorpio.

And now Danielle Creg (famous one time guest at the Count Cumia Compound) makes movie after movie that is just him admitting that he's gay over and over again.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 5:31 amI'm referring to the entire Craig era being a pure humiliation ritual ultimately ending with Bond's death.

Re: Movie Thread
What is it about Cumia attracting faggots with complicated feelings about their sexuality?

Re: Movie Thread
I've tried to get into Royale but it just does nothing for me. I get more out of Quantum than I do Royale. Eva Green may be hot, but I felt no chemistry between him and Craig like everyone keeps going on about. The rest of the movie is just a bog standard action film with none of the Bondian charm.CuckTurdginson wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 5:36 amCasino Royale's kino! Skyfall is Oscarbait Bond. The most gravitas you should get out of Bond is when his wife or colleague dies. Having a whole movie brooding about Bond's legacy is such a shit idea. Do like GoldenEye and just get on with it.
That's why I like No Time to Die. It's the one Craig film where it's mostly just him having fun. It's relaxed, there's some Ken Adam tribute acts going on, a lot of flair and colour. I don't mind Bond dying. It's a neat twist on the formula, but it's not drenched in self importance and unwarranted weight like Skyfall.

Re: Movie Thread
It's very sweet of Kyle MacLachlan to still champion his version of Dune. An underappreciated film.
