That almost qualifies for easy listening for what I'm currently getting into. At least check out the intro riff and dare tell me it's not gloriously rancid.

Amorphis Aturday



The producers were really against this song, they said that this sounds like shitty Russian techno, this was in early 90's and the band's genre was death metal. However, the band persuaded them to record this song by promising to use a Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal on the song, which was Sunlight's signature sound. It can be heard in the Sabbathesque riff of the song.



Re-recording old songs is almost never a good idea, but this re-recording is actually even more Völkisch than the old one.



I bought this record when I was 14. It has only grown and grown since then for me. Elegy is truly one of the masterpieces of Finnish metal.



An amazing track, nothing else to add here.
