Anyway, it made $300 million domestic but it cost something like $250 million to make. Most of these films don't actually sell in America, at least not enough for studios to turn a profit on domestic alone.

It made $500 million domestic, 750 abroad. All told, it made well over a billion. Even if the budget was $300 million it would have made a comfy profit. They coped to a budget of 160 million, but who knows how much it actually costs to make movies these days.

This won't stop until they've made an uncessary live-action remake of all of their classics, won't it? I'm certainly looking to Blacules, The PoC of Notre Dame, and of course Coalblack and the Diverse Little People (featuring Warick Davis and Peter Dinklage).
Maybe if they'll run out of movies, they'll cover those direct-to-video sequels nobody cares about. Or hopefully some idiots will theorize about a potential Cinematic Universe culminating in live-action Kingdom Hearts. The possibilities are endless!

So it's a sequel to Prince Caspian?VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Sun Feb 17, 2019 10:43 amCoalblack and the Diverse Little People (featuring Warick Davis and Peter Dinklage)
I doubt they'd do that. It's not classic Disney and it's not Disney Renaissance and therefore they don't really care about it.TheManWithNoPlan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 17, 2019 11:56 amAll I know is fuck them in advance for the Fox and the Hound remake that’ll suck major cock.
A Snow White remake is much, much more likely

Re: Movie Thread
Denis Villeneuve's Dune(Part I)remake finally got a november 2020 premiere date.
The cast is... okayish? I've never seen half of them before, but Stellan Skarsgard is alright(wouldn't have picked him for Baron, but still). Bautista is a great choice for Rabban and I dig Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho. Way to make the sequels with him actually kinda watchable. God-Emperor is gonna be fucking amazing.

Jeremy Irons would be perfect for Xenahort.
