I don't get the Keanu Reeves love-fest going on with the internet. Dude's a shit actor, has always been a shit actor, and 90% of his movies are ass. He has what, Speed and the John Wick movies, which are only considered good because they aren't the absolute shit other movies are. Ooh, but he's nice! So what, Gaylord? Cyberpunk is still another game about Mexicans.

He had one or two good movies he did at the beginning of his career, but he's otherwise garbage. If you want to know how bad an actor he can be, watch the Dracula movie. Everyone else in that movie is fantastic, and he just ruins it all with his wooden delivery. He's a fucking robot.

I guess people just have a nostalgia boner for either Bill & Ted or The Matrix, depending on their age and/or whether they prefer dudebros or special snowflake self-insert power fantasies.

He has an odd stoic charisma about him that works for action movies. Only now people think he isn't a shit actor, he was always mocked for his wooden delivery or being known as the dumb stoner dude saying "woah" all the time after Bill and Ted. I remember even Animaniacs made a joke about him with Dot saying she loved the idea of dating a pretty boy like him who was dumb and easy to manipulate

John Wick is the perfect role for him, just like the Terminator was for Arnie in 1984. It enhances his positives but hides his weaknesses, and both of them were not considered good actors until they had been around for a while. McBain on The Simpsons existed solely to shit on Arnie's acting.
