It's clear you didn't.
It's clear you didn't if you genuinely think there's 'no gameplay' and it's 'only walking'. MGS4 has some real flaws, namely the cutscenes are overlong and tedious and detract from the actual game portion (to the point that most criticism focuses on these and the story). But only an idiot or someone who hasn't played it would genuinely try to argue there's 'no gameplay' and 'only walking'
Except shitty shooting bosses to death and like 10-15% of stealth game, level of gameplay with how retarded AI is, it is David Cage level of game.
But have fun doing flips with how resistance part is not narrow corridor of walking. If you made it that far that is.

Still one of the worst QTE in history of games that fuck up great game.
The bolded part is the only relevant part. QTEs are always terrible. They are just more annoying if the rest of the game is good. Otherwise, they would only be yet another case of pissing in a sea of piss.
That Revengeance is otherwise pretty great was my point all along.

The worst thing about MGS4 is that it didn't live up to the initial promise of having the player choose their faction during a warfield. Instead, your choices are to fight the PMC with or without the militia's help in the first two acts and the whole warring factions thing is dropped from Act 3 and onward.

Revengeance is literally the only good non-Kojima MGS and way better than Lords of Shit
Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner is one of the few decent 3D animu mech simulators that's not Armored Core.

You mean the same act where you have to take out the PMC members who want to arrest the guy you're following, if you want to find Big Mama's hideout?

I found it kind of tedious, personally

Kojima's whole thing is missed potential.

That's how the finalized game ended up being like, but the early promotional materials for MGS4 advertised it as taking place entirely in a warfield between two factions with Snake acting as a neutral agent with the option to pick a side depending on how it suits the player's needs. They dumbed it down to the final game by simply only having one faction you could side with and the other is the enemy by default.
