Even in the closed beta WoW didn't appeal to me but that it pretty much defined MMOs since forever is the real tragedy.

It's kinda like with Dungeons & Dragons in the tabletop RPG industry: Stuff like this is just so huge that it will redefine industry standards for years to come, even if those new standards are utter rubbish.

They lost their NPC scripts. The source code is still the same.

Not that anyone would notice. I don't think even the greatest Vanilla WoW otakus actually bothered with reading NPC dialogue.

It's important as it's server-side aka the one thing private servers couldn't do right and pretty had to make new.
There is a lot of evidence that Jizzard stole that work from private servers.

So i stumbled on some Jewtube videos talking about Wow NiggerLands , which apparently came out last week.
It's shit.
Comments , even from bugmen who paid 6 months to Jizzard in advance , claim there are reused assets everywhere, no changes in the classes, same crappy mobile mechanics of the last 4 expansions, the quests are so bad that they would rather spend time fishing.
And the shills' excuse: "It's just wow, what do you expect?".
