I was once forced into a system restore 'cause of some copy protection that apparently didn't like Windows 7 very much. I didn't have problems with the game but there is no way of telling if Denuvo impacts anything or not if you are layman, yet alone determine if it is malicious in some way or just plain terrible code that fucks something up. I remember the game Sacred blowing up my disc drive because of their incredible bad copy protection
Talk about the life consuming, celibacy inducing hobby that is all the rage these days.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.
I think this is the main problem people have with it. Layman or not there's been reports that gains of up to 7 fps have happened after Denuvo got removed from some software but there's no way of telling if it was Denuvo, directly.
I'm uncomfortable with the idea of a rootkit being installed alongside a game, regardless of the reasoning the people who made the game have. I get wanting to protect their IP but they're putting my personal equipment at risk to do so. Make better games and I won't be tempted to pirate them!
