So apparently Valve has banded together with Christian fundies (or something) so swing the banhammer against several visual novels unless the developers patch out the sexy stuff.
People are naturally dropping their spaghetti over this, be it because they wonder why Valve seems to target visual novels exclusively and not just any game with supposedly too much pornography, or because they're paranoid weebs crying about muh censorship.
Also things are a bit confusing atm because Valve has yet to explain themselves in public. Not too keen on VNs myself, but this anti-eroge blitzkrieg is a bit fishy for the largest digital game distributor in town.

I fully support it, seeing those games on a platform that kids use was sickening to me.
Not to mention most of those games have at least heavily implied pedoism.

Hey, I remember that one. Though I am positive that the ensuing butthurt will be enough to warrant its own thread. If not, I dunno, merge it or something.
Also... I wonder if JesuOtaku will rally xir "massive" fanbase in support of xir "fellow visual novel developers".

Aren't most of those games on Steam already the cut down versions? Also, we should call this the Nepocalipse.

Why? AFAIK Moe Goddess Nep-Nep is unaffected by this.
And not only are they already cut down, but some of these "guideline-violating" games have been on Steam for years.

Only real scumbags pay for video games. especially on Steam, much less erogay.
The English translated VN market is a trash fire, original English VN's are all trash, all in all just another wet fart on the shitheap that is the entire software industry.

I saw hunniepop bitching about this but I'm all for it, those games are trash and churned out weekly by Chinese companies to hurry and make a quick buck off neets.
