Ass Effect 1 had gay shit in it. I would argue that Dragon Age 2 was around the time bioware jumped the shark. Ass Effect 2 was polished, but dramatically slimmed-down on rpg elements compared to prior games. It was more of a corridor shooter than anything bioware had made previously and the games they made after it were more similar to it than what came before. DA2 was the beginning of bioware's focus on muh diverse sex options. You had a multiple gay options but no good straight options.

They removed the Gecko in 2. Faggots were complaining about it, so instead of driving around on some planet and at least exploring a little and looking at nice skyboxes you got a boring probe "minigame".

Yeah, and she was the only/best straight male/female option IIRC. There were a lot of characters in that game that I'm pretty sure you couldn't romance, and it was mainly the shit ones you could romance.

Everyone seems to be forgetting Jade Empire, which is where the gay shit started. You could romance Sky, the obvious homo, if you were a dude, and the Princess if you were a chick. Everyone hated it, though, because you obviously belonged with Dawn Star or whatever her name was but could only be friends with her as a lesbo.

And the sex scene was implied, and if you chose a gay path they censored the kiss because it's gross and against God's will. My, how times have changed.
