I loved 64 and melee, but as a extremely filthy casual who liked items on because it makes the game more interesting.

Some stage gimmicks can be a bit bullshit, but the items were pretty fun. But of course the "professionals" had to declare them haram.

I hope Nintendo will release a version where you can not turn them off ever, just to troll them.

It's not that everybody hates it. Nintendo hates it and told people who wanted it in tournaments to GTAB or they'd cut funding for price pools for the official releases. Yet again, e-sports ruining everything.
