Mario 64 is one of the most popular speedrun games of all time, so it's pretty hilarious that Jewtendo couldn't even get that right. They could have at least included both rom versions.

Speedrunning mario64 is mega gay, in my opinion, but it's a missed opportunity to sell the version that isn't allowed for registering runs. You can't even practice running since the retarded version they sell removed all the fast glitch movement options IIRC.

Imagine if they released a version Smash Bros. Melee that removes wave-dashing.

Mario 64 DS extras aren't included in mario 64, so no yoshi or luigi or other fun things.

That will probably get its own $60 ROM package.

Speaking of which, they could make a killing of they did a Smash Triple pack. With 64, L-cancel, chain grabbing and other bugged tech mechanics are removed and still in 4:3 (Retroarch can make it 16:9. I've only used Project 64 with 64 roms), Melee's widescreen function is unlocked but has no graphical updates and has the aforementioned removed mechanics and no wave dash while Brawl....is just Brawl.

Nothing would happen. Melee on Slippy has less input lag online than it has offline on a GC. It also has rollback. They could release Melee as is on the Switch and the tourneyfags wouldn't touch it anyway. It's completely pointless to attempt pleasing that crowd.
Smash 64 re-released would be nice, though.

I don't think there's any compilation on the PS2 that can't run at 60 FPS in PALia. A shitload of regular PS2 titles can do it as well. We've had TVs that can run in both 50 and 60 Hz for a long time.
