Was at Walmart and saw they're selling a new round of retro arcade shit. One had Final Fight, another had Mortal Kombat 1,2, and 3 but was 300 bucks. I know it's a gimmick, but damn if I didn't consider splurging on that MK cabinet.

And there's also a cabinet with the Star Wars arcade games from the 80s.

Obviously these things were a success enough to keep pumping them out so idiots can buy them. I looked into modding one of these and basically 75% of it is useless. You need to throw away the board because you can't hack it and change the buttons and stick because they are so low quality.

Oh for sure, I was just hoping it would be a cheap way to have an arcade cab, but in all honesty I just have a fight stick and a TV connected with roms for the same experience.

Yeah, they take up a fuckload of space for something that can fit inside an USB stick (plus joystick and a screen, of course).
