The only thing that RE6 might have over 5 is that your AI partner is essentially immortal. I fucking hated Sheva.

Tokyo Game Show is coming up, should have more stuff on REmake 2, but everything I've seen makes it look like a big budget Revelations game.

Probably so, but I don't have the pc version, not paying for online and I'm not paying cuckcom full price for fucking RE5.

I bought an old used copy for $5.
My brand new PC retail copy of RE5 was actually $5 or something with free shipping on Amazon. But yeah, that game doesn't deserve more than that.

They should just make Sweet Home 2 instead.

Careful what you wish for. The premise of Sweet Home makes it perfect for some Corpse-Party-tier animu weebshit.

Everyone's bragging the new Spider-Man has open world shit but so did the last two games. Ooh, it's your Marvel version of the Arkham games? Well so were the last two, bitch.
They already had open world Spideys on the PS2. And this is Current Year, where every bigger release that's not a fighting game or "cinematic" walking simulator is some open world sandbox nonsense. No surprises here.

I did finally buy RE5. It's gonna suck solo but I'll give it a shot. I tried it years ago because why not and got pissed off with the sheva AI. At least you can grind in this game so I know the difficulty is gonna be ayyy lmao-tier. Perfect for a baby bitch like me.
You really should play on co-op mode though. RE5 has some total cringe moments and utter bullshit badly designed QTEs, but you can laugh them off if you're playing with someone. Playing solo will stress you out.

Once you get used to not being able to move while aiming it gets easier. Just run around like an idiot, take a quick shot, then run some more until Shiva gets caught and you have to go save her. Repeat, repeat.

If Revelations 2 raid mode had re5 melee system, that'd be godlike. It controls pretty well honestly aside from the shit melee system they implemented.

I've been jonesing to play some resident evil, but not sure which. I might just give up on modern resi and play RE3. Or do another run in RE2. I could always play remake I guess. Or code veronica though I didn't play much of that since I was underwhelmed by it.

Raid Mode in Revelations 2 is fun, shame the actual game sucks ass. I'm tempted to try revelations 1 to see how that is.

RE6, holy shit did I ever want to love a game so much and feel so betrayed. Don't believe the gamingbritshow guys who tell you the game is fun. It's shit. It actually starts out pretty fun. You get to run around as Beefy Chris with a knife and stab martial art extra zambonis in a set that looks stolen from The Raid Redemption. Or you can play Leon and run from waves of zombies. But every aspect of the gameplay itself is poor. Prompts don't always appear. There are instant death traps everywhere and very unforgiving scripted sequences. Enemies are full of bullshit tricks like not reacting to gunshots, instantly killing you or having perfect aim.
RE5 is such a polarizing game for me. It’s the baconator of the RE series and while I feel it was a wasted entry and one of the nails in the coffin of my beloved series, I had a blast and co-op’d more with various friends than I like to admit.

REV2 was just shit. Made Claire a total cunt and
squandered Barry “The Legend” Burton on a sub par game with a weak story that’ll never be addressed again.

RE6 is well...6. I didn’t spend as much time with it as the other games in the franchise, and I see the potential and flaws pretty clear.

I just finished 7 again and that game makes me way angrier for some reason. Taking the chance to go back to the roots and turning it into a post Amnesia romp with Saw bullshit and an overall garbage story just hit me harder than anything else has thus far. I think I’m just getting old and bitter, like Josh Hadley.

RE7 is just a meme to me. I see nothing of value in that shit. If I wanted to play outlast I'd just play that.

RE6 had potential but it fell down on all of the technical aspects. Prompts disappear for no raisin, the game is buggy and the punishment for failing any bullshit QTE or timed running set piece is always instant death.

This, thank you. I catch flak for not liking it, but I just find it to be one of the most unenjoyable RE games and my least favorite to play through.

I agree with re6 with all those bullshit QTE with insta deaths, the game is not that bad but it’s just even more of an action game than previous ones, haven’t tried re7 yet but I’ll wait until it’s ultra cheap.

I advanced a little in Re0, this fucking game is gonna take years to finish because I need some time in between to mentally prepare for the waste of time of moving inventory, way worse than backtracking. Still I can’t defeat the final boss in Revelations, I want to finish that one before trying revelations 2.

Also I finished main story in orochi warriors 3, I think there are some extra missions after but I’ll try those later, I’m playing the other modes for the time being.
