Yeah, the devs have been retarded with Planetside 2 for a while now. They actually downgraded the graphics in order to improve performance instead of... ya know, optimizing the code. They also want to make an asset flipped battle royale version that has an official TDM mode so they dont have to balance things out.

Played 10 minutes of The Sinking City.
They turned the Innsmouthers (half human, half sea monsters who kill outsiders) into a metaphor for the poor, oppressed immigrants of today because "take that Lovecraft, you ebil racist!".
