Anybody play Dead by Daylight or Friday the 13th? I’ve logged a crap ton of hours into the latter and want to spend more time with the former, but always lose interest when there’s a double xp event or something.

Boy, am I glad I did! They lost the Williams license. That includes Bally! If one bought them, they remain in the game. Everyone else is shit out of luck. Maybe some of y'all don't know what big of a deal this is so here's the list of tables not obtainable anymore:

That's A LOT of fucking machines gone! That's arguably the majority of the really good ones as well.
So, the license is now with PBFX3. That's terrible news. Their physics are fucking shit and the company got a lot of shit for abusive EULAs as well as not porting many pins from FX2 to three, FX2 not being available anymore and having implemented some fucking XP system. The very fucking last thing I want in a pinball game is grinding. Get fucked!

So here I am, sitting on a fat library of pinball tables that people can't get anymore.
The additional shit is that it's a big hit to the dev of PBA, who've had trouble and fuckups enough. They hold the license to Gottlieb, Stern and Data East still and I'd love them to continue because there are plenty of tables from them I'd love to have as well.

Doom for the SNES. I've enjoyed it alot. True the graphics and sprite capacity are shit by today's standards but who gives a fuck? it's a competent FPS on the fucking Super Nintendo. Only things I didn't like were that some walls wouldn't let you move and being killed by rocket splash damage more than anything else in the game.

I never said it was the definitive experience. But everything on that chart looks spectacular.

I highly encourage everyone to actually just try it. Absolutely everything with a microchip can run Doom and the engine ports make it an even better game than it was back then.
Personally, I'm running GZDoom with free aim enabled, auto aim disabled, no crosshair and ZDL for Smooth Doom for more animation frames. Pretty much vanilla Doom but a bit prettier with actual aiming adopted to m+kb. I play Doom and Doom 2 at least once every year. I've yet to have to check out many WADS.

It's pretty good, from what I hear. I should get it and play it at work. It's neat to have something that looks like some complicated file that's really a game.
