Sanic 06 was the game the fandom needed and deserved.

But dude, it was the anniversary! It just HAD to get released right then. How could you celebrate an anniversary without a game? And boy did it ever shape the impression people had about the game series. Can't take that away from Team Sonic!

I seem to recall that the following 3D Sanics also had a tendency to be rushed out too early.

Yeah, Sega wanted to have Sonic Adventure out by Christmas same as Sonic '06, so it came out with a lot of bugs and they released two successive versions without the bugs. Dunno why they didn't do that with Sonic '06, aside from the fact that the game is horrendously broken it's only regular Sonic game bad, not bad bad

They couldn't make a bug-free version of Sanic '06 because nothing would be left if you removed all the buggy and broken code.

That's not true. You'd still be left with the cutscenes. You could see Sega's excellent story about Natalie Portman Princess Elise and her forbidden love for a blue hedgehog

Sonic Generations is pretty good and so are the Rush ones.

So was Sonic Colours. Unleashed had half a good game with crappy combat shit in between but it looked like they were slowly figuring out how to make a 3D Sonic game but they went right back to garbage again. Sonic is destined to be shit.
