It's a Milla Jovowitch (don't care for the spelling) vehicle. Chances are it'll have about as much to do with MonHun as a brick with a jetliner.

Last time I checked, they're basically remaking that one Dungeon Siege sequel movie about a marine getting isekai'd in a fantasy world, except you will get to see a Rathalos. Who has probably been redesigned to look more like the dragons from Game of Thrones.

Also 10bux the climax will have Rathalos fly through New York or some other big Burgertown, duking it out with jet fighters.
And then Milla roundhouse kicks him in the face.

It's the best MonHun in my opinion.

I prefer 3U and Freedom Unite but I can't deny MHGU is more convenient for players who don't want to be assed about the more clunky aspects of old monhun. It modernizes those elements without going babymode like World.

I'm kind of leaning that way.

The sheer quantity of content to experience, the charms of classic MonHon, and all the call backs.

I've played quite a few of them and enjoyed every one that I have and GU really gelled with me.

Plus it has alpacas and a catgirl Wyverian.

There is very little streamlining. You can just play Guild style if you want. The only thing I can really think about right now which is easier is gathering not requiring you to duck and press A several times, which is just plain better.

They just made this part less tedious, is all. There's really nothing lost in being able to gather shit by just holding the button, except for maybe the loss of the elite gaymur move of "you'll gather faster if you crouch before mashing the button".
