You should use HH in Gen U if you haven't done. I find HH extremely fun overall, even if I can't autocast buffs like the new hotness.

Good idea. I've never really given it a good try.

Re: MonHun
I think I've always thought wrong about the HH. I guess it's the list of songs with all those notes that make it look a bit complicated.
In reality it has the most simple combos. The songs are just two or three you'll occasionally want to activate. Outside of that it's a simple hammer.
If I think what I need to keep in mind with the GL or CB, what move leads to what and so on and the constant upkeep of vials, charges and shells, the HH is stupid simple.
Do your one two combo, play the song and then for several minutes it's just deciding between an overhead slam or a right or left hook.

Exactly so. People get sidetracked and focus on "Muh Songs" or "Muh Team Player." It's really a more mobile hammer. MUCH more mobile. And the dance of the hammer (keeping continuous damage while choosing attacks to keep you on top of the monster you're fighting) is great fun.
It's actually a little unfair how much damage and stun you get for so much mobility. Other heavy weapons have at least some drawback. Even switch axe slows you down when you engage the heavy blade mode.
The most useful hunting horn song for me is probably movement speed up, because I can activate it in or out of battle and it makes HH even more hilariously mobile.

Also, why does nobody mention right away and prominently that it doesn't bounce? I never knew that and it's the best thing about it.
I need to farm Gravios a bit anyway and that alone trivialized the fucker.

Does Rise still have a palico waifu?

Put that in non-faggot. Are you asking if palicos are in the game?

Don't lewd little wyverian girls, you animals!
I'm back in MHGU again. I guess saying that Gravios is trivialized by no bounce was a bit overly dramatic.
I mean, it would, if I wasn't terrible with HH. The main issue is the fuck being so tall. Basarios is very kind and thus keeps his head low so you can brain him relentlessly. No such luck with Gravios. I'm not yet cool enough to reliably right swing him in the head.
However, I have built a nice Basarios set that has part breaker and think I'll try aerial HH on Gravios.
In theory, breaking it's back should be good and mounting is a bonus as well.
There's never really any rhyme or reason to what I do in MonHun. I guess I should go back to clearing hunts to get to G. But I feel like beating up HR Basarios instead.
