Unpacking or: OCD Simulator for Ramona Flowers

So yeah, saw a cutesy pixelstyle gametrailer that somewhat spoke to me. Nice chiptune, "gameplay" is literally unpack your shit after moving, so all my autism triggers where pushed.



Little did I know (though I should've known), that this would be cancer. See, there is no story, neither written nor voiced, but the female protagonists story is told through the act of unpacking. Of course the trailer doesn't show the subversive degeneration, but in the later apartments you unpack your shit, there are things you cannot move.

Example? Sure.

• You move in to your boyfriends home, which is partly decorated, meaning several things are greyed out and cannot be moved, so there is no freedom of choice to put your diploma but hide in in a cupboard.

• Then, of fucking course, you move in with your grrrlfrien, where you can prominently display your diploma on the wall, something the neanderthal you broke up with before wouldn't allow.

• Also, have fun unpacking your menora, goyim.

Does the boyfriend's home have a big Confederate flag on the wall? I have to know before buying this Game of the Century (tm).

In real talk, this strikes me as some vanity project from itch.io where the deranged developer uses his game as some kind of personal therapy session and/or believes his amazing life story is just that deep and thought-provoking.

Of course the german wants to play a game about doing chores.
We all know you'd rather play Fudgepacking instead.

I assume she(?) figured people will have already forgotten about the game about 1 month after release, so why not fleece the idiots that just have to have it?

We prefer our chore simulators with more realism. 2D pixel art won't do here.

Landwirtschaftssimulator and Euro Truck Simulator are where it's at.
