I think that's the reason why Amos Yee was sentenced to only 6 years for grooming a girl: it's the age difference between him and the girl (14) he was grooming. The judge found reasonable to give him the lesser sentence.

But there's a very real possibility that, in both cases, the teenaged victim was the one they managed to find about. They tend to have younger victims in the past.
