MTG has been incredibly boring and bland for ages now. When they started with their universal art style is when it all went downhill.

I'm pretty cool with a set Africa-inspired like Mirage - one of the best sets mechanically designed by the way - but when you do a Vikings inspired set like Kaldheim and half the elves are niggers, plus the main planeswalket character is the annoying nigger lesbian that no one likes, period, plus awful mechanics that kill an entire archetype for two years (midrange) making the Standard format a slog to go through, AND you still haven't fixed MTG's core design problem (a high percentage of games that end due toana screwing or flooding) - it becomes unbearable.
