EDF6 is out for gaijins. There's currently plenty of drama and backlash because it pulled a Helldivers 2 from day one and requires an Epic Store account for the multiplayer portion, but thankfully they're already looking into it.

The one negative thing about the actual gameplay is that the default camera is some pedestrian over-the-shoulders shit, but you can thankfully set it back to the way the series is meant to be played.
The changes so far are pretty awesome. The Ranger now has a third weapon slot for grenades and bombs with its own attack button. This is such a godsend, especially since you can throw this stuff while reloading your main weapon.
The new enemies are also pretty cool so far.

The story took me a bit by surprise. From the promo materials you'd think this would be all post-apocalyptic, but then it turns out

Speaking of free games, any thoughts on this "pvpve" (in reality it's just a pvp arena extraction with a rpg skin)?



The tutorial looks and plays very well for an early access title, but the descriptions in game are deceptive in putting emphasis on cooperative pve, when in reality even the people of your team can kill you and steal your loot.
I don't know if i should try an obviously op class like the rogue, or just uninstall it because the negative reviews claim there are cheaters and p2w.

Ok, tell me what you think then. I just mentioned the steam link because I think it's a one-dev project and costs maybe 90 pennies, so it's kind of a toss-up whether the free version is superior to paying in this case. There's an official free version on Steam as well. I don't know how the game is different in the free version.
